Folks, after nearly one month in the hospital, and 11 days after open heart surgery, the reknown Cuban Pianist, Olga Diaz, better known to me as Mom, is home. I thank everyone for their prayers, phone calls, and support. God willing, in perhaps a few months, Mom will be back at the keys. October 2006 has been hell. I'm glad tommorrow is November.

Dear Olga, my teacher: I was so sorry to just read about your surgery. These bodies of ours can be such a nuisance sometimes to what's important, our spirits.
Your spirit flies like the angels. I think of you often. I also had surgery last June, a brain tumor which left me with right sided facial paralysis, but, I still have a big beautiful smile, it just shows on the inside now instead of the outside.
You are & continue to be my inspiration at the keys.
