Flying Over Miami in September

Government Cut
Got a chance to do some photography around town in a helicopter yesterday and grabbed some interesting images including this one of Government Cut with the Port of Miami, the Causeway, and the Miami Skyline Visible.

Please take a moment or two to check out and Like my Facebook Page  where I have posted a few images from my Helicopter Flight over Miami along with some shots I took a week ago in my Seaplane Flight and Landing to the Dry Tortugas National Park.

Any of the prints you see here, on my website,  or my Flickr page are available as prints or stock. Just drop me an email.  And if you're into the whole Twitter thing, you can follow me here to get my daily photo update.

See you out in the field infidels.

May Day in Florida

Sunset at Blue Cypress Lake, Florida

Blue Cypress Lake is one of the last vestiges of old Florida that has not been ruined by development. One of the last places where gators and osprey can share their environment with bass and other fish. One of the last places where you can enjoy peace and quiet.  And for my fishing friends,  you can catch some nice largemouth bass there too.

Make sure you follow me on Twitter at @MAP_Photography and go to and Like my Facebook page and you'll see more pics from Blue Cypress Lake as well as some of the other gems we have in the state.

If you'd like to purchase this or any of my other prints, please visit my website at www.michaelpancierphotography.com.

Welcome to Hialeah - Pretty Prairie?

The city's name is most commonly attributed to Muskogee origin, "Haiyakpo" (prairie) and "hili" (pretty) combining in "Hialeah" to mean "pretty prairie".  There isn't much of a prairie left in the City, as nearly every inch has been developed.  It is an interesting place to photograph though.

I took this image this afternoon in infrared.  If you are coming from the east along Okeechobee Road,  you will be greeted with this arch as you enter the pretty prairie. It is kind of an oasis in a sense between the residences of the City and the scrap yards and factories.  Frankly, this City offers so much to photograph if you take the time to explore.

The Eagle & The Hawk

I am the eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers
But time is still turning they soon will be dry
And all of those who see me, all who believe in me
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly

Come dance with the west wind and touch on the mountain tops
Sail oer the canyons and up to the stars
And reach for the heavens and hope for the future
And all that we can be and not what we are

Where Does Discontent Start?

"Where does discontent start? You are warm enough, but you shiver. You are fed, yet hunger gnaws you. You have been loved, but your yearning wanders in new fields. And to prod all these there's time, the Bastard Time." -- John Steinbeck

Have A Great Weekend Infidels

I know my posts are less frequent, but I mainly post my images on Flickr which you can link too here.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the outdoors and nature to the extent you can.
And to quote Billy Joel, "Don't take any shit from anybody!" And I must add, especially from wankers, pissants, psychos, and pinkos.
See ya real soon ...

It's Always Five O'Clock in Everglades City

With the beautiful weather we get here in winter and spring, it's always time for a cold beer in Everglades City especially in between the morning and afternoon fishing trip or anytime you are in the mood for stone crab claws.

When you're not in the mood for a beer, you can enjoy the plethora of osprey which nest throughout the area.

Until next time infidels. Adios, I'm a ghost!
